PILOT GRANTS

Mātai will offer pilot research grants for the use of magnetic resonance imaging on a 3-Tesla scanner (and other scanning devices as they become available), from around September.

Applicable studies include pilot development studies with a clear intention to perform a larger study.

Details

  1. The amount of funding granted to each pilot study will be considered according to the academic merits of each proposal and the amount of time required on the MRI scanner.
  2. Pilot Grants are aimed at facilitating preliminary data to support an application towards a larger grant. Pilot studies are not self-contained projects in their own right.
  3. The value will typically equate to four hours of MRI use, and additional time may be allocated at the discretion of the reviewers.
  4. Ethics approval will be required.
